Behavioral Health

Arkansas schools are in need!

In 2001, there were approximately 15 million young people nationally diagnosed with a mental health disorder, however only about 7% received adequate care from mental health Professionals (1).

How can Public Schools Program help?

  • Enhance student’s access to behavioral health providers by providing real time on-the-spot care
  • Increase the number of students treated for behavioral health related issues
  • Provide clinical consults and medication management in real time

Behavioral Health means mental and emotional well being.  Youth today are faced with a number of different stressors and emotional challenges.  Education, prevention, and early identification of behavioral health needs is essential to helping youth avoid risky behaviors and promote long term emotional health.
